HONINGKOEK    (honey cake)

Melt 3 cups of honey (1kg.) in 2 1/2 cups boiling water,
let cool.
Add 2 drops of aniseed oil or 1 tsp. seeds,
1/2 cup oil or butter (soft),
4 eggs
Mix well.
To 6 cups of flour
add 4 tsp. baking soda,
1 tsp. salt,
1 tsp. cinnamon.
Mix.
Add liquid and mix until dough is smooth.
Grease and flour 4 bread pans (5"X 9") Fill 1/2 full.
Bake at 275°F for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
